WineQuest is Central Florida’s premier series of fine wine tastings, dinners and auctions ( http://www.winequest.org ). The event benefits Quest, Inc., a local nonprofit organization serving more than 1,100 children and adults with disabilities each day.
This year’s 15th annual WineQuest series will have four events – a grand tasting with 200 wines from around the world, a farm-to-table five-course wine dinner, a garden brunch at Primo Orlando, and a golf tournament – taking place June 10-12, 2011, at Grande Lakes Orlando resort.
WineQuest Golf Classic on June 10 at Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, Orlando, Grande Lakes – WineQuest returns to the award-winning Ritz-Carlton Golf Club for a world-class golf tournament on the Greg Norman-designed course. The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club is known for its unique Caddie Concierge program, which pairs a knowledgeable attendant with each group to provide accurate yardage, bunker raking and tips for playing the course ($450 per twosome by May 9/$500 regular pricing; $850 per foursome by May 9/$900 regular pricing).
WineQuest Grand Tasting & Auction on June 10 at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes – WineQuest’s original event, showcasing nearly 200 fine wines from around the world with wine experts and purveyors sharing more information. Select wines will be paired with eight food-tasting stations that highlight the exotic flavors of Peru, Turkey, Vietnam, Morocco, Japan, America, Jamaica and Puerto Rico. Includes live and silent auctions ($75 per guest by May 9/$80 regular pricing).
WineQuest Premier Dining Experience on June 11 at JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes – A five-course farm-to-table wine dinner starring a rustic, sophisticated menu with locally sourced foods, seasonal ingredients, New American cuisine and top wines. The event begins with a sparkling wine and hors d’oeuvres reception and concludes with a dessert reception. Includes live and silent auctions ($155 per guest by May 9/$170 regular pricing).
WineQuest Primo Garden Brunch on June 12 at Primo in the Grande Lakes Orlando Resort – Primo will host an al fresco brunch in its on-site garden. The event will include food stations serving locally raised carved meats, organic side dishes, regional fruits and juices, and light desserts, as well as a mimosa bar and a medley of fine wines. Usually available only for dinner, Primo is opening up for brunch exclusively for WineQuest ($55 per guest by May 9/$60 regular pricing).
