Wine and Music: They Go Together Like...Well....Wine and MusicThere are countless numbers of songwriters who’ve also been inspired by wine, but writing songs about wine isn’t a new phenomena. The "Charles Heidsieck Waltz" was an orchestral piece composed by Paul Mestrozzi which debuted in 1895!

Below are my top 10 songs with wine in the lyrics:

10. Celebration by Kanye West

“You know what though? You my favorite accident. So go head pop some Cristal.”

9. Ironic by Alanis Morrisette

"It’s a black fly in your Chardonnay. It’s a death row pardon two minutes too late"

The Eagles. Am I the only person who thinks that Hotel California is the most over-rated song of all time. I think so!8. Hotel California by The Eagles

"Mirrors on the ceiling, the pink champagne on ice
And she said ‘We are all just prisoners here, of our own device’"

7. Never Tear Us Apart by INXS

"If I hurt you, I’d make wine from your tears"

6. Big Shot by Billy Joel

"You had the Dom Perignon in your hand and the spoon up your nose"

Jay Z. He's got 99 problems, but rapping about wine ain't one.5. Show Me What You Got by Jay-Z

“I’m getting better with time. I’m like Opus One young”

4. Lady Marmalade by Christina Aguilera

"Boy drank all that magnolia wine.”
”We drink wine with diamonds in the glass."

3. Champagne Supernova by Oasis

"Some day you will find me caught beneath the landslide. In a champagne supernova – A champagne supernova in the sky"

2. Killer Queen by Queen

"She keeps Moet et Chandon, In her pretty cabinet. Let them eat cake’ she says, Just like Marie Antoinette"

Like a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape!1. Body Movin’ by Beastie Boys

“Like a bottle of Chateauneuf du Pape, I’m fine like wine when I start to rap”

(This should get bonus points, as I doubt if there will ever be another songwriter that would dare rhyme with Chateauneuf du Pape!)

Do you have any more songs to add to this list…?
